The Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick is seeking a dynamic and organized Training Coordinator to lead and grow one of our key strategic pillars: Workforce Development and Training.
This is more than a coordination role. As Stream Lead for Workforce Development & Training, you will oversee the full lifecycle of industry training programs, strengthen partnerships, support tourism operators across the province, and help ensure New Brunswick’s tourism workforce has the tools and skills needed to thrive.

About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and continuously improving TIANB’s training programs and workforce development initiatives.
You will serve as the operational lead for one of TIANB’s three strategic streams and play a central role in supporting industry growth through accessible, relevant, and high-quality training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Leadership
You will:
- Lead and coordinate TIANB’s training calendar, including programs such as:
- Emerit certifications
- Food Safety
- Responsible Beverage Service
- WHMIS
- Other sector-relevant training initiatives
- Manage all aspects of training logistics, including:
- Venue sourcing and coordination
- Materials and equipment
- Participant communications
- Registration management and enrolment monitoring
- Coordinate with external facilitators and training providers
- Identify new training opportunities based on industry needs and member feedback
- Support the development of new learning offerings and program enhancements
- Conduct post-training evaluations and use findings to improve programming
Stream Leadership & Coordination
As Stream Lead, you will:
- Provide leadership for Workforce Development & Training initiatives
- Coordinate and support the Workforce Development Coordinator
- Work collaboratively across teams to integrate training into broader member programming
- Track and report on program outcomes, priorities and performance
- Ensure training information is current across digital platforms and member communications
Partnership & Stakeholder Relations
You will also:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with training providers and partners
- Represent TIANB’s training programs at industry events and sector initiatives
- Support partnerships and funding opportunities that expand training capacity
- Help position workforce development as a strategic priority for the tourism industry
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in adult education, tourism, business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in training coordination, program delivery or a related role
- Experience managing multiple projects and logistics simultaneously
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within New Brunswick
Assets
- Experience working with external facilitators or training providers
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, membership organizations or workforce development

Working Conditions
- Full-time permanent position
- Hybrid work model (Fredericton-based)
- Regular travel within New Brunswick required
- Occasional evening work for training sessions or events
