Creating the Story: Turning your Tourism Offering into a Media Story

The media doesn’t report on “products”; it reports on stories.

How can you turn a new offering, an event, an attraction, or an investment in your business into a clear, credible, and compelling media angle? This training offers a practical method to help operators and destinations structure their message, identify supporting evidence, choose the right spokesperson, and craft an effective pitch.

By the end of this workshop, participants will leave with a ready-to-use narrative framework and a customizable email template for reaching out to the media.

Where Tourism Lives
Salomé Thériault (Ampersand Social Media & Co.)

Posting randomly and getting nothing back? You're not alone, and the problem usually isn't you, it's the lack of a system.

In this practical, no-fluff session, you'll get a calm, consistent content framework designed for busy tourism operators who don't love social media and don't have time for it.

We'll cover what to post, how to create it quickly, and how to turn followers into bookings, all built around a plan you can actually stick to in season. Leave with a workbook you can start using the same day.

Future-Proofing Tourism: Ready for What’s Next
Myriane Ouellette (O Stratégies)

Tourism is evolving in an increasingly fast-moving, complex, and unpredictable environment. Organizations must continually adapt to changing visitor expectations, as well as economic, technological, social, and environmental shifts, while engaging their teams and maintaining the quality of their services.

In this 30-minute keynote, Myriane Ouellette will offer a simple and accessible way to better understand change, the reactions it can generate, and the challenges it creates within organizations. She will explore the conditions that help teams strengthen their capacity to adapt and build a more resilient culture in the face of uncertainty.

Future-proofing tourism is not about perfectly predicting what comes next. It is about developing the capacity to recognize change, respond with greater clarity, and mobilize people around a shared direction.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of change dynamics, practical questions to consider, and concrete ideas to help their organizations move forward with greater agility, confidence, and resilience.
