CALL FOR CANDIDATES TO FILL BOARD POSITIONS

The TIANB nominating committee is initiating a call for applications to serve on the Board. We are receiving applications from interested TIANB members willing to serve on the Board.

If you or someone you know is interested in shaping the future of New Brunswick's tourism industry, you are invited to respond to confirm your interest on or before 4:00 p.m., April 17, 2017 to the attention of the TIANB Nomination chair, Peter Clark by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. Your application form must be accompanied by a recent professional photo and resume.
Only TIANB members in good standing will be considered.
Successful candidates must attend the TIANB Annual Conference.

Selection is based on experience in tourism, knowledge of tourism operations, provincial representation and finally linguistic considerations are given in order to achieve a balance both regionally and linguistically on the Board. Board candidates must have experience in business management or ownership or have served in senior management role in the tourism industry preferably for a minimum of three years. Candidates must be familiar with financial statements and policy governance.

You might also be asked to contribute additional time and your knowledge to specific files or ad hoc committees.

Attendance and participation at the board level are crucial for the successful operation of our organization.

Usually the Board meets 4 to 6 times per year; some meetings may be conducted via conference call.

The Board of Directors of TIANB intends to propose changes to the TIANB By-laws.

In accordance with Article 5.7 (Amendment of By-laws)


The By-laws of the Association may be repealed or amended by resolution enacted by a majority of Directors at a Board meeting and sanctioned by a special resolution of the members in good standing voting at a meeting duly convened for that purpose or the Annual General Meeting.

Notice is hereby given to all members of TIANB that amendments to the Association’s By-laws will be presented and voted upon at the next Annual General Meeting of the membership, May 24, 2017, at the Fredericton Inn, 1315 Regent St, Fredericton, NB.
